Let’s just face it.
We all know they’re there, but no one likes to talk about them because well they’re demons.
Demons. They prowl around with the devil like lions looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8 NIV). They are our enemies, our foes, our worst nightmares, but guess what they won’t defeat us. They can’t overcome us.

Because they have a weakness…
The demons and the devil cower at the sound of God’s name. They run and hide in the presence of Jesus. When they see us talking with our heavenly Father, they fall to their knees in shame.
You’re probably wondering why I am writing a post about demons…
Well do you remember Lucy? If you do then that will answer your question if you keep reading…
Lucy
( is not her real name, but I am using it for this blog).
A few weeks ago my friend Anita and I were evangelizing in Las Lilas with two other women door to door.
Anita knocked on a door, and a women answered with her hair up in a messy bun and tired eyes. She had two young children hiding behind her legs and you could hear two younger ones crying in the background.
Anita asked if she had time to hear a story and she said only a moment because her baby was about to wake up. Anita told her the story of Christ and how he came to seek and save the lost.
Anita used a bracelet with different colors to better explain the gospel. Lucy looked at Anita and said, “I believe in God.”
After exchanging contact information with Lucy, we left and headed back to the church. I turned and watch Lucy head back into her home. Her eyes full of emptiness as if searching for something more.
Later that night, Anita and I were talking about the events that day.
I mentioned how Lucy said she “Believed in God.” I said that was good, but not good enough.
Here’s why.
You can believe in God all you want, but not get to heaven. You are still missing one thing…Jesus Christ.
In James 2:19, the verse says, “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”
You see, you can believe in God. Good, but even the demons believe in God. They are terrified of him!
You can go your whole life, just saying you believe in God, but remember this even the demons believe in God.
Our enemies, our foes, our worst nightmares. The ones who prowl around in the darkness trying to pull us away from God…
They believe in him also, they hide from his face because they know he is holy and everlasting.
The whole point of all of this is, YOU NEED JESUS for salvation. You need Jesus to be Lord of your life.
You MUST surrender to HIM in order to experience a life free from that sin that entangles you at this very moment.
In order to be free of the demons that are prowling around you.
In order to live a life in the light and love of Jesus. YOU NEED to Believe in Jesus also!
Believe in God, and Believe in Jesus also!
