Okay, lets all be honest…

How many of you have seen these posted all over Facebook? Instagram? Twitter? Maybe Pinterest?

So, we have all seen these posted all over social media. How many of you have felt a little bit guilty because you scrolled past this picture and didn’t share it?

Did you ever feel ashamed?

Did you ever feel like the love Jesus had for you decreased because you weren’t willing to share a meme?

Well if you have, then your not alone….

I am going to let you all know right now that Jesus does not care about how many shares he gets on one of those memes. I am honestly tired of people thinking they have to show how much they love Jesus through a false image of Christ. 

It’s simply a fictional picture of what we think Jesus looks like. It’s only a way for us as humans to get more likes/shares on social media. I believe that your love for Jesus Christ is not determined by how many times you like or share a picture.

Jesus loved you before social media was ever created! Jesus loved you before you were even born.

We have to realize that showing our love for Christ should not be a popularity contest. Jesus doesn’t care about how many Christian t-shirts you own or how often you wear them. He doesn’t care about how many followers you have on your Christian online blog.

The only thing Christ cares about is you.

Yes, that’s right you.

You matter to Jesus.

You matter to the one who created the stars and knows them all by name. You matter to the one who conquered death.

You matter to Him because He loves you.
And that should be enough.
