You Are Not A Mistake, You Are A Miracle

I shouldn’t even be here, but I am. I am not a mistake. I am a miracle. I am here for a reason.

When I was born, my mom didn’t get to see me except for a few minutes. She was sick with Strep-B when I was born, which caused me to have pneumonia. I was immediately taken to the NICU. I was there for four days. My mother not being able to hold me at all. I was put on an IV during those four days. The doctors were concerned with my health as a newborn with pneumonia. After four days of being in the NICU, the doctors released me with home health care. They had to insert a different IV in through the top of my head. I eventually got better and life for my parents went back to normal.

The day I took my first, breath God had a different plan for me. I came into the world barely hangin’ on.  But that would not be the end of my story. If it were not for the saving grace of Jesus I would not be here today.

My life has not been an easy road, I have not lived a fairy tale life, but I have learned that I am not a mistake. No matter what I go through or have done, I realized I am not a mistake. I am a miracle.

This is probably just another cheesy blog comin’ at ya from lockdown. Just me sittin’ here at my desk with too much space and free time to think.

No, but seriously, with all of this free time, I have had time to remind myself of who I am.

I wanted to do something with my time to make it worth-while. I hope this blog speaks volumes to you. I hope you find hope.

You are not a mistake. You are a miracle. You have come a long way since last year, since yesterday, since this morning.

Whatever you may have done, whatever you may have said, wherever you have been, you are going to make it through this storm. You will come out gold!

Maybe you got up this morning and spilled your entire pot of coffee all over your newly cleaned carpet. YIKES!

You might have through in a red sock with all the whites you washed in bleach the other day without thinking and now all your underwear is pink. OOPS.

Maybe late last night you were texting that guy or girl you are crazy about, but you guys are “just friends” and by accident, you sent a heart or something embarrassing. And now you feel like life is over. AW MAN!

Maybe you got into an argument with someone you love and you said something you regret. Now you feel like you can never see or speak to that person again. THAT ONE HURTS!

And now you are thinking…

That’s it! I am done! I have messed up too many times! I’ll never be able to face tomorrow.

All I do is mess up! Maybe I should put that on my resume!

What are they going to think of me? I cannot speak to them! He (Or she) probably thinks I am such an idiot!

Let me tell you, that if you have been doubting your self- confidence lately, or if you have been doubting your self -worth, then please stop! I say this not with hatred towards you, but encouragement.

Brothers and Sisters, we have to stop thinking that every time we make a mistake our lives are officially over. The world is still spinning and we are still breathing.

When you mess up, I promise with all my heart, that you will still be loved, that you are still wanted. You are not a mistake because of your mistake. You are worth so much more than your mistakes combined.

I may not know what you are going through, but I can tell you that you are a miracle. You have made it so far.

If you are reading this post, then congratulations, you have made it. You have made it through.

You are here! You are here for a reason. You are reading this blog (almost typed booger, see even I can make mistakes 😛 ) then you are here with a purpose! I cannot tell you why or how, but God wanted you to read this.

Maybe to remind you that the coffee stain will come out.

Maybe to tell you that Pink is your color and you can rock those new pink socks and underwear! YOU GO!

Maybe to let you know that the boy or girl you were messaging will respond to whatever crazy message you accidentally sent because accidents happen and it’s going to be okay.

To encourage you to reach out to that person you said those hurtful words to because they have been thinking about calling you. It’s time to patch things up.

See? You may have not been in those exact situations, but let’s face it life is hard and we have allllllll been there.

You can do this. You can wake up tomorrow and face another day.

Whatever you are about to face. You can get through it. You can conquer this great canyon before you.

You are not a mistake.

You are loved.

You are wanted.

Remember you are here for a reason.

If you are still breathing, then God has not given up on you.

Your story is not over yet.

Keep Going.

You are a Miracle. ❤
